  • Bio: Zaida Herrero Medina earned her Pharmacy degree from Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2009, followed by a Master's in Advanced Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2013 and a Master's in Nanobiotechnology from Aalborg Universitet (AAU) in 2018. In 2022, she completed her Ph.D. in Nanoscience, Materials, and Chemical Engineering from Universitat Rovira i Virgil (URV), where her research focused on designing nanostructured electrodes and developing strategies to enhance direct electricity production from microalgae and cyanobacteria. She has 1 year industrial experience working with recombinant protein production and purification at Werfen OEM (2015).
