Bio: Barbara Vastenavond was born in Dendermonde (Belgium) where she studied Art Science at the Universiteit Gent; she then moved to Barcelona to focus her study on Business management where she did a postgraduate at the Institut de Educació Continua of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2001. in 2022 she obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
From 2003 she started working at DINAMIC Applied Biotechnology Innovation Centre (an innovation center of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili) as manager of the European projects and taking care of the financial administration of the Centre. In 2005 she starts working for INTERFIBIO coordinating the financial and administrative part of European and national projects. In 2019 she promted the Experimenta Challenge Programme and assumed the executive direction of it.
