Monica Choudhary

  • PhD Student

  • Bio: Monica Choudhary is a PhD student in the Nanoscience, Materials, and Chemical Engineering program and a recipient of the Martí i Franquès scholarship. Her research focuses on developing biosensors for the detection of toxins using electrochemical methods. She holds a master's in advanced Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a bachelor's in biotechnology from India. Her work integrates nanomaterials, surface functionalization, and innovative detection strategies to enhance biosensing technologies. Monica had contributed to the development of electrochemical aptasensors for cortisol detection and biosensing platforms using porous alumina and silicon for early-stage infection diagnosis. And later, she worked on designing optomechanical biosensors with mechanochromic response for sensitive and selective analyte detection in liquid samples. Passionate about nanotechnology-driven healthcare solutions, she is committed to advancing next-generation biosensors for medical diagnostics and disease monitoring
  • Specialization: biosensors
