Interfibio welcomes Dr. Sharmaine Reintar for a cutting-edge research collaboration
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Sharmaine Reintar, a postdoctoral researcher from the Medical University of Graz, has joined Interfibio's laboratories for an exciting research stay, running until January 2025. This collaboration marks a pivotal step in advancing diagnostic technologies and strengthening ties between research institutions.
Dr. Reintar's visit is part of her mission to expand her hands-on expertise in the field of immunoassay development. Specifically, she will focus on conjugating antibodies with diverse labels to refine and innovate diagnostic assays. Her work aims to enhance the sensitivity and specificity of these tools, which play a crucial role in modern medical diagnostics.
But Sharmaine's research doesn't stop there. She will also delve into the fascinating world of lateral flow assays-a widely used platform for point-of-care diagnostics. By integrating these assays with electrochemical measurements, she aims to develop systems capable of detecting specific urine biomarkers. This approach could open new frontiers in non-invasive diagnostic methods, improving early detection and monitoring of various health conditions.
At Interfibio, we are proud to support this research and look forward to the outcomes of this collaboration.
Welcome aboard, Sharmaine-we're excited to see where this journey takes us!
