JOB OFFER: PhD Opportunity in Bioanalytical Tools for Toxin Detection
We are excited to announce an open PhD position at our research group, under the Martí-Franquès Program. Join us to develop cutting-edge bioanalytical tools leveraging recognition proteins for detecting marine toxins and toxic microorganisms.
Project Overview
Marine toxins pose significant risks to human health and ecosystems. This project aims to design electrochemical biosensors using small combinatorial proteins (SCP) and DNA binding proteins (DNABP) combined with carbon-based nanomaterials. The goal? To achieve highly sensitive and selective detection systems validated with real-world samples.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for candidates with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields, alongside a completed Master's degree.
Key attributes:
- Strong laboratory and research background, especially in biotechnology and (electro)chemistry.
- Excellent command of oral and written English.
What We Offer
- A 4-year work contract (~€1500 gross/month)
- Tuition fee coverage for 4 academic years
- Opportunities to gain teaching experience
Application Deadline: 1 December 2024
